Cardamom Rose French Toast

Cardamom Rose French Toast

Published January 7, 2026

Brioche soaked in cardamom-scented custard, pan-fried golden, with rose water syrup and pistachios.

Shahi tukra is a Mughal dessert of fried bread in sweetened milk - this is the brunch version. Saffron is optional but adds beautiful color and flavor.

Rose water varies by brand; start with less and add more. Can use challah if brioche is unavailable.
