Apple Syrup

Apple Syrup

Updated October 23, 2026

Diced apples simmered with sugar, cinnamon and a squeeze of lemon into a warm, chunky syrup for pancakes, French toast, oatmeal or ice cream.

Made with Apple Cider Pancakes with Cinnamon Butter, this makes the stack look like the photo: chunky apples spooned over the top. If it gets too thick as it cools, stir in a little warm water until it pours again.

Keeps up to 1 week covered in the fridge. Rewarm in a small saucepan over low heat with a splash of water. For a smooth syrup, blend it and pour it through a strainer.
