Updated February 12, 2026

pad thai wrapped in an egg net with fresh river prawns.

Banana flower is available at Asian groceries; soak in acidulated water to prevent browning. Egg net (khai yat sai) requires a well-seasoned or non-stick pan.

River prawns (kung mae nam) are large freshwater prawns; jumbo shrimp substitute. This presentation is served at special Thai restaurants for celebration meals.
