Orange Syrup for Espresso

Orange Syrup for Espresso

Published September 10, 2026

A bright, citrusy syrup made by reducing fresh orange juice with sugar and a touch of vanilla, designed to sweeten and flavor espresso drinks with natural orange character.

The syrup will thicken slightly as it cools; if it becomes too thick, thin with a splash of water. For a deeper orange flavor, add 1 teaspoon of orange zest during cooking.

Use fresh-squeezed orange juice for the best flavor; bottled juice works but may taste less vibrant. Store in an airtight glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
