Mild Chicken and Black Bean Quesadillas

Mild Chicken and Black Bean Quesadillas

Published October 13, 2026

Crisp pan-toasted flour tortillas filled with seasoned shredded chicken, black beans, corn and melted cheese; mild, kid-friendly weeknight dinner.

Pat the chicken dry before mixing so the tortillas crisp rather than steam. Mild seasoning only: cumin and garlic powder provide flavor with no heat, so avoid adding chili powder or hot salsa.

Use the same amount of cheese on each tortilla for even melting and easy flipping. Keep heat at medium so the tortillas brown without burning before the cheese melts.
