Massaman Curry

Massaman Curry

Updated January 22, 2026

Thai beef curry with potatoes, peanuts, and warm spices. Mild and sweet, not spicy.

Massaman is the mildest Thai curry; great for spice-sensitive diners. Some recipes add cinnamon stick and cardamom pods; the paste usually contains these.

Chicken thighs can substitute for beef; reduce cooking time to 30 minutes. Serve with jasmine rice or roti bread.
