Fruit-Chew Dessert Sauce

Fruit-Chew Dessert Sauce

Published October 13, 2026

Similar-colored fruit chews melted with cream into a smooth sauce for ice cream, cheesecake or sliced apples.

The melt ratio is about 4 oz of chews (roughly 24) to 0.5 cup cream, which gives a sauce that coats a spoon while warm. The lemon juice is optional; a teaspoon brightens the flavor, but the sauce is good without it.

Keep the colors together (all red and pink, or all orange and yellow) so the sauce doesn't turn muddy. The sauce thickens as it cools; warm gently and thin with a splash of cream if needed.
